Bring your
city together.
A little fresh air. A good cup of coffee. People who are glad they came.
Help start a weekly Fika coffee walk in your neighborhood. We’re looking for thoughtful, dependable people who make others feel welcome.
Apply to host a walk ↗Make room for real life.
Fika is a pause for coffee and connection. Our walks bring that spirit outside: meet at a local café, take an easy 35–45-minute stroll, and stay for a coffee if you like. No pace to keep up with. No purchase required to join.
Meet.
Welcome people by name. Introduce anyone who arrives alone. Give everyone a familiar face from the start.
Walk.
Lead an easy local route at a conversational pace. Make sure nobody gets left behind.
Come back.
Share next week’s plans before everyone heads home. A weekly ritual starts with showing up again.
A small commitment.
A meaningful role.
Start with one walk a week for four weeks. Plan on approximately 2–3 hours each week, including preparation, the gathering, and a short follow-up.
Selected hosts receive $75 for each completed walk, plus a Fika hat. Dates, responsibilities, payment timing, and any approved expenses are agreed before you start. Applying does not guarantee a host placement or a launch in your city.
You bring the welcome.
- Choose and check a café meeting point and an easy route with us.
- Invite your first few attendees and help share the event locally.
- Host the gathering, make introductions, and look after the group.
- Share attendance, feedback, and a few photos when people are comfortable being photographed.
We help you get started.
A simple hosting guide, event copy, promotional assets, a Fika hat, and planning support from the Fika team.
You make people feel included.
You’re reliable, know your neighborhood, and enjoy bringing people together. You can commit to four weekly walks and communicate clearly with the Fika team. No large following or previous professional event experience required.
Students are welcome to apply, along with anyone else who loves building community. Applications are open to adults of all genders. Tell us your city; we’ll choose pilot locations based on host fit and a practical local route.
Become a founding host.
Tell us a little about yourself and your idea. If there’s a fit, we’ll arrange a short phone conversation and plan the first walk together.
A few things to know.
Do I need an audience or a dog?
No. A big following is not required, and neither is a dog. You should be comfortable inviting people locally and helping newcomers connect. Friendly dogs can join on leash where the route and café allow them.
Does Fika pay for everyone’s coffee?
The walk is free to join. Drinks are optional and purchased individually. Hosts do not need to buy drinks for the group.
Do I need to sell hats?
No. This role is about hosting a welcoming walk. Your pilot payment is for hosting, not product sales.
Are walks already running in my city?
We’re recruiting hosts for new pilot walks. Applying helps us decide where to launch; it does not mean a chapter is already active. Confirmed dates and meeting points will be shared when each walk is ready.
What about happy-hour walks?
We’re starting with coffee walks. Evening walks ending with an optional drink may follow as local communities develop.
What happens after I apply?
We review your city, availability, and approach to welcoming people. If there’s a fit, we’ll invite you to a short phone conversation, agree the pilot details, and help you prepare your first walk.
